    Hope u don't mind me saying but a really nice touch on the edge of the CEDAR BOARDS for the outside would've been a slight champher so the boards woulda made a lovely finish to the outside but that just me thinking out loud. U made a fine job of the Cedar out shell. Is CEDAR expensive??

    • @1CHANCEPRO
      @1CHANCEPRO 11 месяцев назад

      The chamfer would look really good but my intention for the top of the bar is to get it some character, scratches & dents over the years then cover the top with an epoxy. Cedar is costly depending on what you get. The top cedar was special order when I build our pool deck and I always purchase a little extra just in case. It came in handy for the bar. Thanks for watching and the comments!

    Best axe and best knife and best saw!! Best value on their own categories too! Oe who knows, how to reprofile/prepare their edges and the bevels, maintain them in the long run and mostly knoes how to use them, has some of the best tools out there! I own all the famous knives out there, from both factory, custom, semi-custom, and handforged knives from thebest makers. My axes and saws are less, but still got some of the best out there. Those tools on this video, are my go to field tools!! Thus, I can say, they are the best and no need, to go more expensive. You can get that axe cheaper, if you choose it's twin brother from the sam mother the Hultafors Felling Axe HY 10-1,2 SV. It's literally the same axe, in a cheaper price. Good job on the video!!

    Seems like they got a little over ambitious with their space needs. Regardless of how successful they may be, I really don't see how a business that specializes in custom knives and engraving can justify needing that much space. You can see they're trying to fill up that show room to the best of their ability, but it's still incredibly sparse. What I'm trying to say is, retail space comes at a premium, so unless you're seeing a financial return that's directly correlated to the increase in retail space (e.g. a restaurant increasing their square footage in order to seat more customers, a car dealership increasing their lot size in order to have more product since they're selling cars faster than they can restock them, etc.) you're essentially throwing money away. I mean, even if they're able to fill all that space with product, decoration, or whatever else, unless they actually need that extra space because they were going through product too quickly, or they couldn't display all their wares (neither of which seem to be the case, based upon just how far apart everything is spaced,) I just don't see how expanding that much was a sound financial investment. I've seen businesses that could actually directly profit off of the increased space of an expansion go under because they weren't able to bring in ENOUGH new business to offset the a.)initial cost of expansion, b.) the increase in monthly rent on the increased property, and c.) pay for the increased staffing required to operate a larger facility. I'm not trying to call this business out, denigrate, or disparage them in anyway. I am however attempting to offer a cautionary bit of advice to anyone that owns a small business who are considering expansion. Another mistake small businesses make is expanding their business space under the erroneous assumption that, just because a business experiences initial success, that said success is going to be protracted and permanent. Sometimes a business will experience early success due to the bus and excitement of their opening. Sometimes a business will be doing fine, but not realize that the community they serve not large enough to support any further growth. Bottom Line? There's a million reasons when expanding the physical space of a one's business could lead to financial ruin. Conversely, there's only one singular reason to expand you businesses square footage... which is that doing so will result directly in increased profits. If that's not the case, DO NOT increase the size of your business!!!

  • @c.bretmiller6148
    @c.bretmiller6148 2 года назад

    The stuff is kinda cool, but I don't know if it's really worth the money. I mean, if I want a cool knife, I'll go buy a cool knife. If I want a decent fountain pen, I'll buy one. With these boxes you invariably seem to get one premium item (obviously the knife in this instance,) that you like the most, and then a few other little things that, while undoubtedly cool and of good quality, are probably things you don't really need and wouldn't go out of your way to purchase. So... you end up getting one nice item... that costs like twice as much as buying it individually, just because it comes with a few ancillary items that, again while cool, are probably not a purchase you'd ever make of your own volition. I suppose that's really the concept of the box though... even the premium items aren't anything you really need, so it's clearly a superfluous luxury expenditure. That being said, I do feel like it's for guys who don't really know themselves. If I were given an extra $45 a month to go towards my entertainment/hobby expenditures, I certainly wouldn't be spending it on a veritable grab bag of stuff I might kind of like, selected at random by a stranger. I'd go out and buy the things I specifically like and want. My only other complaint would be that, they certainly seem to pigeonhole men with what they perceive as "male" interests and activities. Like this is a product explicitly aimed at men who cherish wood grain, the musky scent of sandalwood, the colors dark green, brown, darker brown, and two other shades of brown, metal, beards, and brown liquor (or, at the very least, hipsters who want to project themselves as possessing those interests.) Like, I even enjoy quite a few of the things I just listed, but still feel their categories and conception of "guy stuff" is way too restrictive. As for the actual review, great job. Keep up the good work! I'm just a trifle skeptical as to whether or not a knife, a mediocre fountain pen, a $0.50 notebook, (come on... the really high quality ones cost hundreds) and a bottle opener are worth $45.

    I think if you are going to use the cast iron pan, it would heat up faster if you took the grill off and put it on the stove direct, but then it is hard to get off the grill, you have to stop the fire, wait for it to cool down, so maybe putting it on the lid is ok. I just bought one, haven't used it yet, just trying to get ideas how to cook with it.

Whenever you carry this rifle, may you be blessed with memories of grandpa, and make sure to make good use of it so that when you pass it on to one of your kids one day, it will be passed on with even more memories, of our families hunts."
